A high quality copy of the Krone 2A IDC wire insertion tool. If you're serious about your inserting (chuckle) then you might like to have the real Krone in your toolkit, otherwise occasional users will be more than happy with this version which costs a lot less! Honestly, even if you're doing a few points in a single installation job you'll appreciate having the proper tool for it.
Impact action inserts and trims the wire simultaneously when inserting in IDC terminals as found on telephone line boxes, the BT DSL adaptors and professional telephony fittings, network/telecom patch panels and sockets, and all over the professional telecom world.
You just set the wire in the terminal blades, and press down gradually. At a preset pressure the tool head impact action triggers and completes the insertion (with a metal insertion blade of course), while a small cutting blade also trims the excess wire off. Job done, and neatly at that!
Body also conceals a handy fold-out hook tool and blade which fits the slot screws usually found on telephone faceplates. How handy!
