The latest compilation album, but this time with some band involvement, here's what Jonn had to say about it on the forum: "Sony BMG got in touch to say that they were releasing a new anthology of Neds stuff from the Sony period. Luckily the bloke in charge of the project is a Neds fan so he contacted us to see what input we'd like. They were going to release it in any case so we thought we owed it to fans to get involved and at least ensure it's not exactly the same as 'Intact'. So they asked us to pick 17 songs from the Sony catalogue (including the hits of course). We chose the tracklisting, got Helga to do the artwork and Matt and I have written the sleeve notes. Don't feel obliged to buy it for our sakes as we won't see much from it. It's a cheapy thank god - it looks nice and it's not bad as an introduction to Ned I guess. Just wanted to prevent another ill-concieved compilation!!" And of course, the original line ups co-operation with the track listing is what provided the catalyst for the re: united gig this december. So there we have it :) |
