Ned's Atomic Dustbin - Brainbloodvolume Growing up isn't easy (not news, right?) Growth means change and adaptation, a lesson NED'S ATOMIC DUSTBIN has learned only too well since their last offering 2 1/2 years ago. "In the past we've been reliant on fun a lot of the time. We viewed our career as a big merry-go-round, and we were all just out to have a good laugh. But there came a point where we realized we needed to re-evaluate what we were doing and dig a lot deeper to find out exactly what we were trying to achieve" says vocalist Jonn. The self-examination yielded "BRAINBLOODVOLUME" the band's most emotional to date. The new disc is more contained and rational than earlier works, expressing a wide range of emotions. There's two earlier releases, "THE INGREDIENTS," followed by "GOD FODDER." Speaking of the many changing musical tastes and directions of the band's members since their last release, Jonn says "We all feel like we know what we are doing, but at the end of the day we probably don't, so we've just learned to go about things one at a time and deal with each situation as it comes along. Jonn's on vocals, Rat on guitars and keyboards, Alex on bass, guiters, Mat on bass, Dan on drums. Copyright (C) 1995 Beat Magazine
