| Modular
wallbox parts |
Here's
a range of extremely handy modular telecom wall socket parts intended
for Telephone, ADSL and network installations.
Use these to provide any combination of socket points
for Telephone, ADSL and Network access exactly as you want them. And
of course you can always change any of the modular units later if
you move things around to suit yourself.
The Double face plate (shown on the right here) is
your basic UK 85x85mm electrical face plate size, more universally
known as "single gang" in the electrical world. It's called
a "double" because it houses two modular units.
Either replace an existing full-size telephone extension wall socket
front plate, or fit a new socket point with these. Same as all standard
UK face plates, suitable for both flush-mounting on a recessed patress,
of surface mounting using a suitable back box (available below of
course) |

The Quad
size (or "two gang" in spark-talk) accepts, unsurprisingly,
four modular units. Here's an illustration of a Quad
Face Plate fully populated with socket modules, yesterday. This can
be any combination of Telephone, RJ45, RJ11 sockets and blankers to
suit your own evil plans. Standard UK 2-gang electrical dimensions
- 146x85x10mm, flush or surface mount. (Back boxes below again.) |
The
socket modules themselves are all 25x50mm snap-in units. They can
be added and removed and changed around as you see fit and as your
needs change. Kind of like telecom Lego.
They all use high quality Krone IDC terminals on the rear for the
electrical wiring connections, and are spring-shuttered at the front. |

Blanking Plates - Details
These little
guys are self explanatory. For example, we use two quarter blanks
in a double faceplate to make a rather good looking single facceplate,
with the option to pop a second module in at some future time. Oh,
you get the idea... |
