The proper tool for Krone IDC telephony terminal block is of course the genuine Krone tool which is unfortunately a bit costly - but we've also got a very nice, accurate copy of the genuine article for a lot less cash (as used by us lot in fact), and even just a cheapo plastic thingie that'll suffice at a push for a one-off job.

You should acquire ONE of the types on offer at least if you're buying telecom installation gear that uses IDC terminal blocks.

For the avoidance of doubt this is NOT a filter of any kind, it's just an outlet point. It's intended that you feed it with, for example, both filtered and unfiltered wires on an extension (or extensions) from a Master linebox using the BT ADSL adaptor faceplate to handle the filtering.

Very slim at just 18mm depth, these are very neat. This is the size we supply with our lovely ADSL extension kits, and we recommend them for all your ADSL/Telephone socket mounting.

These back boxes are specifically intended for telecommunications installation - they're less brittle than electrical type back boxes which makes installation easier.

Cable entry knockouts are provided on all sides and in the base providing full flexibility.

This is a complete installation unit, consisting of three parts - a surface-mounting back-box, the NTE5A line box unit, and the removable front plate.

Incoming exchange line terminals A and B on rear of the NTE5 unit to be supplied with the line wire pair (which translate to 2 and 5 in consumer wiring), and Krone IDC hardwiring output terminals for 2, 3 and 5 on the rear of the detachable front plate facilitate your hardwiring of outgoing telephone extension cable(s).
